The Creating Bridges project aims to enhance cultural exchange between citizens of European Union member states and Ukraine, through targeted artistic initiatives and cultural integration interventions.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, as part of a collaborative project with the Athens-based organization ANCE<\/strong>, I had the privilege of leading both summer and autumn sessions of calligraphy workshops for Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homeland due to the war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During our sessions, I introduced participants to a variety of calligraphic styles, including Italic, Gothic, Uncial, and Slavic Vyaz<\/strong>, and we also touched upon the art of letter illumination<\/strong>. It was truly inspiring to see the dedication, patience, and deep interest each participant brought to the learning process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined! I am incredibly grateful for your enthusiasm and commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And this is not the end of our journey! I am delighted to announce that in spring 2025<\/strong>, we will continue our sessions, exploring even more fascinating aspects of calligraphy, including modern lettering, Ukrainian cursive, and Greek calligraphy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
