INK STORIES marked my first independent solo exhibition in Greece and the first project I organized entirely on my own. From negotiating the gallery space to securing it each night and managing every logistical detail, the entire process was under my direct supervision.
Unlike previous exhibitions, where I was present only for the opening and closing, this time I remained in the gallery throughout the full duration. This provided a unique opportunity to observe visitors’ responses to the works on display—watching them pause, examine the letters, and inquire about the calligraphic process and the origins of each composition. I was particularly impressed by how many guests had a professional background in calligraphy and were able to recognize various historical scripts.
The exhibition presented a broad spectrum of calligraphic traditions, illustrating the diversity and depth of historical lettering. Several pieces combined watercolor and acrylic illustration, while three portraits drew particular attention: Odysseus, inspired by the year my son studied the Odyssey in the original Ancient Greek; Maria Callas, whose image reflects both beauty and tragedy; and Charlie Chaplin, rendered entirely in a circular text where the figure emerges through variations of pen pressure.

The collection also included selected earlier works in Slavic script, brought from Ukraine.
This event has been both humbling and unforgettable. I extend my sincere gratitude to all who attended, asked questions, and shared their impressions. Your engagement and thoughtful dialogue made these days truly memorable and continue to inspire my creative practice.
