The Creating Bridges project aims to enhance cultural exchange between citizens of European Union member states and Ukraine, through targeted artistic initiatives and cultural integration interventions.
In 2024, as part of a collaborative project with the Athens-based organization ANCE, I had the privilege of leading both summer and autumn sessions of calligraphy workshops for Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homeland due to the war.
During our sessions, I introduced participants to a variety of calligraphic styles, including Italic, Gothic, Uncial, and Slavic Vyaz, and we also touched upon the art of letter illumination. It was truly inspiring to see the dedication, patience, and deep interest each participant brought to the learning process.

And this is not the end of our journey! I am delighted to announce that in spring 2025, we will continue our sessions, exploring even more fascinating aspects of calligraphy, including modern lettering, Ukrainian cursive, and Greek calligraphy.
